There is no alternative to building a drug-free creative society in the future dream of building a golden Bengal. To implement this goal, Mr. Md. Ibrahim Khalil, Superintendent of Police of Barguna district, has adopted a zero tolerance policy against drugs and has given instructions for an all-out anti-drug campaign.
In continuation of this, on 25/01/2025, while conducting an operation to recover illegal drugs in the Sadar Thana area of Barguna district, on the basis of secret information, with the help of District Intelligence Branch Barguna SI (Retd) / Bikash Karmakar, accompanying officers / forces, the accused Ripon Sikder @Nipu (28) father- Nirmal Sikder Sang- Bhutmar 07 No. Ward, UP 02 No. Gourichanna, Thana and District- Barguna was arrested with 08 kg 100 grams of ganja. The estimated illegal market value of which is 8,10,000/- Taka.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused at Barguna Sadar Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
