There is no alternative to creating a drug-free creative society in building the Sonar Bangla of Bangabandhu's dream. To implement this goal, Barguna District Superintendent of Police Mr. Md. Rafiul Alam, PPM-Seba, has adopted a zero tolerance policy against drugs and directed an all-out anti-drug campaign.
In continuation of this on 14/07/2024 A.D. during the operation to recover illegal drugs in Betagi police station area of Barguna district on the basis of secret information District Intelligence Branch Bargunar SI (retd)/ Md. Imam Hossain Sohag with the help of Sangeet Officer/ Force Bargunar (Village/Mahalla/Ward No.) - Accused Md. Saddam Hossain (34), father- Ansar Ali, Sang- Chandukhali, Ward No. 9, Sarisha Muri UP, arrested from the Barguna to Barisal highway in front of Sakshi Khokon's tea shop No. 02, Bakultali Sakin, Ward No. 8, Kazirabad Union, under Betagi Police Station, Barguna District. , Thana- Betagi, District- Barguna were arrested with 50 (fifty) grams, ganja. whose illegal market value is estimated at 3000 (three thousand) taka
A case under Narcotics Control Act has been registered against the arrested accused at Betagi police station.
