On the occasion of the Great Victory Day-2024, today, December 16, 2024 AD. The great victory day began with 31 gunshots at sunrise. At 6.45 am and 7.00 am, Mr. Md. Ibrahim Khalil, Superintendent of Police Barguna and Mr. Md. Shafiul Alam, Deputy Commissioner, Barguna, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Mr. Mohammad Mozammel Hossain; Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Mr. Md. Zahurul Islam Howlader; Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mr. Md. Abdul Halim, representatives of various government/private organizations, various political leaders and various professions of Barguna were present at the time. Other senior officers of Barguna District Police were present.
At 8:30 am, a formal national flag hoisting and parade was held at Battala adjacent to the DC office with the participation of all organizations including freedom fighters, Barguna District Police, Ansar and VDP. The Honorable Superintendent of Police of Barguna District and the Deputy Commissioner of Barguna received the salute and enjoyed the parade.
